The Apollo Story

Built from a conviction that every patient deserves fast, trusted access to their prescribed therapy — and the compounding expertise to make it possible.

Every patient deserves fast, easy, and trusted access to their prescribed therapy — from the moment it is written to the moment it reaches their hands.
— The Apollo Promise
Our History

From Vision to Michigan’s Premier Compounding Pharmacy

The Beginning
A Problem Worth Solving
Apollo Pharmacy was founded after witnessing firsthand the gap between what physicians prescribe and what patients actually receive. Delays, denials, expensive and inaccessible products were keeping patients from their therapy. We knew there had to be a better way.
Building the Foundation
Accredited and Licensed Compounding Lab & Core Formulary
We established our Michigan compounding laboratory to USP 795 and 800 standards — investing in equipment, staff, and quality systems that set a higher bar. Our core dermatology formulary launched with 300+ compounds across 14 conditions.
Technology Leap
nexaRX Provider Platform Launches
We built NexaRX — our HIPAA-compliant provider portal — from the ground up, purpose-designed for compounding workflows. Physicians now submit Rx digitally, browse the formulary, track orders, and receive SRFax confirmations without a single phone call.
Expanding Services
Compliance Packaging & Vitamin Line
We launched compliance blister packaging and introduced our Premium Vitamins line — pharmacist-curated, third-party tested supplements sold through the Apollo Wellness Store, with free shipping on every order.
Today
Michigan’s Most Complete Specialty Pharmacy
Today Apollo offers precision compounding, compliance packaging, premium vitamins, dermatology specialization, and free nationwide home delivery — all through one HIPAA-compliant platform. We’re not done growing.
Apollo Team
Michigan-Based Team
Serving patients across Michigan & nationwide
Our Values
Patient First
Every decision filtered through: does this make the patient’s experience better?
Clinical Excellence
USP standards, pharmacist QC on every compound — no shortcuts in the lab.
Speed Matters
Same-day processing. Adherence begins with access.

Quality & Compliance

Accreditations & Certifications

Apollo Pharmacy Group is committed to achieving and maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. Below is our current status and roadmap.

Current Status

Where We Stand Today

Apollo operates to stringent laboratory and regulatory standards, with an active roadmap to achieve additional certifications that reinforce our commitment to patient safety and physician trust.

✓ Active

USP 795 / 800

Our Michigan compounding laboratory operates under full compliance with USP 795 (non-sterile), 797 (sterile), and 800 (hazardous drugs) standards, with environmental monitoring and beyond-use dating validation on every compound batch.

✓ Active

Michigan BOP Licensed

Fully licensed by the Michigan Board of Pharmacy for compounding, dispensing, and mail-order pharmacy services. Our pharmacists maintain active Michigan licenses with continuing education requirements.

✓ Active

NABP Compliant Practices

Apollo follows NABP model pharmacy act guidelines and best practices for compounding pharmacy operations, patient safety, and prescription verification workflows.

Future Milestones

Our Accreditation Roadmap

We are actively pursuing additional certifications to reinforce patient safety, physician trust, and regulatory transparency. Here is our publicly shared roadmap.

In Progress
HIPAA Security Rule Compliance Program
We are actively implementing a comprehensive HIPAA Security Rule compliance program — covering technical safeguards, administrative policies, workforce training, Business Associate Agreements (BAAs), audit logging, and breach notification procedures. Our NexaRX platform is being architected with full PHI protection from the ground up.
Technical Safeguards BAA Framework Audit Logging Workforce Training

3
Planned 2025
PCAB Accreditation (Pharmacy Compounding Accreditation Board)
PCAB accreditation is the highest recognition a compounding pharmacy can achieve — it signals to prescribers that our facility has undergone independent verification of quality systems, personnel qualifications, equipment, and processes beyond state licensing requirements. We are targeting PCAB accreditation in 2025 as a core milestone in building physician and patient trust.
Independent Lab Audit Quality Systems Review Personnel Qualifications
4
Planned 2025
SOC 2 Type II — NexaRX Platform
As we scale the NexaRX provider platform, we are targeting SOC 2 Type II attestation for security, availability, and confidentiality controls. This third-party audit will formally verify that NexaRX meets enterprise-grade security standards expected by hospital systems, large practices, and health systems that require vendor security documentation.
Security Controls Availability Confidentiality
5
Planned 2026
DSCSA Track & Trace Compliance
The Drug Supply Chain Security Act (DSCSA) requires pharmacies to implement full electronic track-and-trace for prescription drug products. Apollo will implement DSCSA-compliant product tracing systems, interoperable with the FDA’s DSCSA pilot programs, as we expand our sterile and non-sterile dispensing operations.
Product Tracing FDA Compliance Supply Chain Security
6
Planned 2026
NSF International Dietary Supplement Certification
As our Premium Vitamins line grows, we will seek NSF International certification for our proprietary Apollo-branded supplement products. NSF certification independently verifies label claims, purity testing, and manufacturing practices — providing patients with the same confidence they have in prescription pharmaceuticals.
Label Accuracy Purity Testing GMP Manufacturing

Specialty Rx & Direct Contracting

Apollo Pharmacy holds direct manufacturer contracts for brand and generic specialty products in dermatology and psychiatry — enabling us to provide prior authorization support, patient access programs, and affordable pricing that retail pharmacies cannot match.

Partner with Apollo
How It Works

Direct Manufacturer Contracts

Apollo holds direct dispensing contracts with specialty pharmaceutical manufacturers in dermatology and psychiatry. This is distinct from our compounding services — these are FDA-approved brand and generic products where Apollo acts as a contracted dispensing partner for the manufacturer.

Through these agreements, Apollo can offer patients significantly lower out-of-pocket costs, streamlined prior authorization support, and direct fulfillment — removing the friction that prevents patients from accessing therapies their physicians prescribe.

What This Means for Your Practice
  • Patients pay less — manufacturer pricing vs. retail markup
  • Apollo handles prior authorization from submission to approval
  • Direct dispensing removes insurance friction on specialty products
  • Your patients get the medication you prescribed, not a substitute
  • Apollo coordinates benefits investigation and copay assistance

Prior Authorization Done For You

Prior authorization denials are the #1 reason patients abandon specialty prescriptions. Apollo's PA team handles the entire process — submission, follow-up, appeals, and peer-to-peer review coordination — so your office staff doesn't have to.

  • PA submission same day as prescription receipt
  • Real-time PA status updates to your office
  • Appeals drafted and submitted on denial
  • Peer-to-peer review scheduling support
  • Step therapy documentation and bypass requests
  • Bridge supply coordination while PA is pending

Patient Access

Affordable Access to Specialty Products

Apollo works directly with manufacturers to unlock patient savings programs, authorized generics, and copay assistance — making expensive specialty medications accessible to your patients regardless of insurance status.

Copay Assistance Programs
Apollo enrolls eligible patients in manufacturer copay programs — many patients qualify for $0 out-of-pocket on brand specialty products.
Patient Assistance Programs
For uninsured or underinsured patients, Apollo navigates manufacturer patient assistance programs (PAPs) to provide medications at little or no cost.
Authorized Generics
Through manufacturer contracts, Apollo can dispense authorized generics at a fraction of brand cost — same formulation, dramatically lower price.
Example — Isotretinoin (Accutane): Standard retail pricing for isotretinoin can exceed $500/month without insurance. Through Apollo's manufacturer contract and copay coordination, many patients pay significantly less. Apollo manages iPLEDGE enrollment, monthly pregnancy testing requirements, and PA renewals — handled entirely by our clinical team.

03
Compliance Packaging That Actually Works
Our blister pack and multi-dose pouch programs increase adherence by up to 40% — reducing hospitalizations, dose errors, and wasted medications.
04
Free Delivery*
Free delivery available. Restrictions apply.*
05
Real Pharmacist Access — Not a Call Center
When a physician or patient has a clinical question, they speak with a licensed pharmacist who knows the formulation.
06
Premium Vitamins Held to Prescription Standards
Our supplement catalog is pharmacist-curated and third-party tested. We apply the same clinical rigor to vitamins that we apply to compounded medications.
07
Accreditation Roadmap — Fully Transparent
We publicly share our accreditation roadmap including HIPAA, LegitScript, PCAB, and SOC 2 milestones — because prescribers deserve to know the standards their pharmacy is held to.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

What is compounding and when is it needed?
Compounding is the preparation of a customized medication by a licensed pharmacist — needed when a patient requires a strength, form, or combination not commercially available, or has allergies to standard fillers or dyes.
What is compliance packaging and who needs it?
Compliance packaging (blister cards or multi-dose pouches) pre-sorts medications by dose and time — ideal for seniors, patients with chronic conditions, or anyone on multiple daily medications.
Is home delivery really free?
Free delivery available — restrictions apply. Contact us for full details.*
Are your vitamins and supplements safe?
Every supplement in our catalog is pharmacist-curated and independently third-party tested for purity and potency. We carry only NSF and USP certified products.
How long does it take to fill a compound?
Most non-sterile compounds are processed same-day and shipped within 24 hours of Rx receipt. Sterile compounds may require 2–3 business days.
Does insurance cover compounded medications?
Coverage varies by plan. Our team provides prior authorization support and works to maximize coverage. Cash-pay pricing is transparent and available upfront through the provider portal.
